Our Mission

Jericho Walkers loves God and people. We are inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit and follow the expressed teachings of Jesus through worship, social justice, and service. We are a “church without walls” because we believe we are called out into the community to partner with others to heal, love, serve, and fight for those who need it most. We strive to do all we can, with what we have, to live out that purpose.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
WHAT WE BELIEVE

What We Believe

Jericho Walkers helps facilitate each person’s individual and unique expression of their relationship with God. Our arms are wide open to accept, welcome and love everyone. It is our hope that you feel the love of God— a deep, welcoming, accepting love—when you join us for service.

Our Philosophy

God loves us deeper than we can ever imagine. We honor the love God has for us by sharing our hearts, rolling up our sleeves and opening our arms. This means we worship AND we get to work in our community. We have faith to bring down the walls that are built between the people around us and God.

Our Commitment to Justice

We know that we cannot do this work without everyone’s voice. Our partnerships are inclusive of all ethnic backgrounds, faiths, abilities, and orientations. We are committed to serving and fighting for justice—particularly for those who are often marginalized in the church and society as a whole.

OUR GATHERINGS

The Way We Worship

We are an intentional faith community and we honor God by bringing down the walls that separate us from each other, from God and from the community. We invite you to worship God in your own way through tears, song, shouting or quiet mediation. Please come as you are.

Our Pastor

Since 2016, Pastor Lawson has led the church to grow their impact in the community through new partnerships, worship/fellowship opportunities, social justice, outreach and service work.

She’s shared her prophetic gifts and dynamic teaching at local events/services and has also traveled to speak internationally.

OUR PASTOR

Our Members

God loves each and every one of us. Whether they come dressed up or dressed down, old, young, single, married, LGBTQ and heterosexual people of all backgrounds and paths join hands together in our worship service. We believe we demonstrate the love of God by opening our arms to everyone.

If you’re deeply enamored with God, hurting and feeling lost, or not even sure what God is all about, this is the place for you. Our congregation ranges from devout Christians to questioning believers and curious observers.

Member Testimony - RJ Kaleohano Nadal (him/his)

My experience with the Jericho Walkers’ Fellowship is quite unlike any other. In my quest to better understand my relationship with my God, I found that critical thinking and asking questions are often discouraged in the many paths I’ve studied and subscribed. Pastor Sareve has encouraged me to question what God is communicating and see how God is meeting me where I am at.

And through God’s work through Pastor Sareve, I can say it is possible to be Christian and a member of the LGBTQ community. It’s possible to have a deep relationship with God and live with mental illness. It’s possible to keep a community close to my heart despite the real-life challenges that sometimes keep me from physically being in community.

Jericho Walkers takes the 2,000-year-old Christian way of living into the modern era, embracing, welcoming and affirming all of God’s children, rejecting injustice, being in service to our communities and God, all the while reasoning the new and previously hidden messages in our sacred scriptures. This is unusual in many communities of faith. People are empowered, equipped and encouraged to make up their own minds about the nature of our loving God. I am grateful for the work of Pastor Sareve and the Jericho Walkers because in this busy modern world, I’m reminded that yes, God is still listening and yes, God is still speaking.
